In Singapore

So the last post was dated back at August 03, 2008.

It was 2 months before I've landed a job as a Project Engineer in a HDB construction site.

6 months before I've moved to a new place.

12 months before I've stopped going to Kendo & Sado practice.

November 28, 2009

Today, more than one year from the last post.

I've changed more or less due to the nature of my job, the psychological changes that I'm experiencing, and the responsibilities that I'm holding as young adult, a son & an engineer.

Don't worry though, I'm still me & I'll blog more after I finish my movie ;)

Going back to Singapore

Finally I need to go back to Singapore.

When I'm back there, I'll need to settle my loans, find a job and a new place to stay.
And training Kendo, practice Sado, and maybe take up Salsa
Not to mention photography, graphic designs and clubbing
So BUSY!!! XD

Anyway, I've decided to get a Nintendo DS!
But I'll wait until the new Nintendo DS revision is out
Not sure when, but soon... I can feel it!!! XD

Graduated

I've finally graduated! The news is a bit outdated but... Yeah, I've graduated :D

I've been staying back home after graduating. No oversea graduate trip for me cause I've just bought a new camera. My new camera has made me literally broke lol! But I guess my recent trip to Betong, Thailand can be justify as my graduate trip. Love the massage over there~

I think I'll continue to post more in my blog. I enjoyed a lot reading my friends blog so I guess we should share the joy! Hehe, until then, adious!

It's holiday, again!

I've been through half of my final year now! OMG, that is so fast! One more semester and I'm going to graduate. Tsk tsk tsk...

Anyway, I just had my Japanese Language Proficiency Test level 3 last week. It wasn't too difficult, cause everything is objective and no writing. I don't think that's sufficient to gauge the language proficiency, especially in terms of speaking. Anyway, I hope I can get some interesting jobs with my JLPT 3 certificate!

I need to get back with my games right now, will blog more later!

Oktoberfest

I went to Oktoberfest in Paulaner (a German bar) last Friday. Oktoberfest is a famous event in Germany and am I so glad I can experienced it in Singapore! KL invited me along with his friend to the Oktoberfest. We've drank beers specially brewed for the event, and ate saussages and pork. The pork tasted like chicken but it was quite nice, especially the sinfully crunchy skin ^^

There was also a live band playing musics, and people started dancing at the stage. Guess what, I danced with a pretty German lady! Hehe, and she complimented my dancing! Of course lah, I learnt ballroom dancing before ^^


The food and beers were a bit expensive, but since we were sharing it's still okay. I've taken some pictures for the food but I don't think it's good to post them here, because we have been playing with the sausages and potatoes *cough*

I really had a great time, maybe someday I'll go to Germany to join the Oktoberfest. Ich liebe dich!

星蘭祭

ちょっと信じられないけど、シンガポールで高校の星蘭祭へ行った。日本語四のために行った。


I went to Japanese high school festival today! It was very much the same as the high school festival in my hometown, except that everything is Japan-ize. Hehe, it was fun! Really hope to go Japan to experience more.




I tried a lot of games in the festival, and played ohajiki with my coursemate. I thought him how to play because I knew how to play ohajiki, hehehe. And I had torayaki and salad don for lunch. It was a bit disappointing as I didn't take a lot of pictures, because I was too exciting to visit around!

If it wasn't for my assignment due next week, I would have gone to the festival tomorrow too. Hehe!

swim+save

This is me, sneezing while blogging in a freaking cold lab.

My design project on "temporary support system for deep excavation" has finally ended yesterday. Of course, I ended up celebrating it by jogging with KL and LY from Clementi -> NUS -> Dover road -> Clementi. Damn syiok you know! After that we went for McD supper and we nearly go for alcohol next, which has kept me alive and typing now.

The day right after, today, I went for the mass swim event or so they called "swim+save". 22 laps continuous for about 40 minutes, with a few breaks towards the end when my legs started to cramp. And I got myself a goodies bag and a Tshirt (my main intention)! It was a bit dissapointing that the goodies bag got lighter than previous year, and the Tshirt quality is not as good as last year, but oh well, hope it'll last a year for me (i'm still wearing the Arena Tshirt I got previous year :D).

Anyway, I realize my free-style very slooow lah, anyone willing to teach me???

It has been a month since I last posted. After going through all that I've planned, I came to a break after my plan to Tokyo failed. Other than that, everything goes pretty well.

My vacation was first fired off with organizing Sado performance for FASS. My boss was the host for the performance, but I couldn't enjoy her performance because I was in backstage. However, our okashi was fantastic. Our budget increased this year so we get to order higher quality snacks! Hehhe~

I realized I enjoyed sea very much, so I went for the SEA sports camp. Guess what we did in the camp? Wakeboarding, the most incredibly, adrenaline pumping, exciting sports ever. And expensive too. But it was fun! The feeling was great when you managed to ski on the water with the speedboat pulling you!

We did windsurfing too. Another super duper fun sport. I couldn't managed to sail for a distance, but I managed to turn the sail 180 degree. I couldn't had imagined how difficult is windsurfing, and being managed to setting the sail upright is rewarding. You can feel the wind dragging you forward on the waving sea. Like like... you're windsurfing!

If there's one thing that you need to know before sailing, that will be tagging. When you're sailing and your partner shout "tag", he/she's trying to kill you. Dodge the sail! The game ends when either player is knocked unconscious, or managed to capsized the boat into the sea. My partner totally freaked out when I asked, "Can I capsize the boat?"

Talking about capsizing, capsizing in kayaking is fun, only when other kayak has already rafted up. Instructor of ours told us about how to recover from capsizing. What the heck, since we're out in the sea, might as well try capsizing. My partner agrees (mostly because I was sitting behind her, holding the oar, threating). Luckily everyone managed to recover our kayak, and Kelvin, our instructor, managed to guess who's the culprit. Intentional capsizing, good for him, no paperwork on accident report.

Well, we did life saving too. And BBQ, and games. I could've managed to see my groupmates in bikini, but... Sigh!!! There goes my ultimate intension... Anyway, I managed to get a nice sun tan and started shedding in a temple.


I joined Meditation retreat after the sports camp. It was a 7 days retreat in a temple. We did meditation in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening. We were lucky enough to be lead by a Burmese monk. Funny guy, heh! The experience was really great. Even though we had a strict diet of vegetarian foods, but the fruits provided were of varieties! Never in my life has been pampered with oranges, pears, grapes, cherries and apples!


Of course, coming up next is my third Kendo grading. I got 2nd Kyu. I wanted to get 1st Kyu, that would at least saved me 40 SGD (by having double promotion)! But it was still okay, I've gotten myself more than just a grade anyway. It's the experience that counts, yay?


So, what is the thing that I have been dreaded for the past 1 year? Going to Japan. I spent the next few weeks planning the program and sourcing sponsorships. If everything goes right, I should be in Tokyo now, sleeping with a few roommates, looking forward to attend Enshu School's practice tomorrow. Yeah, the hostel was booked, practice timing was fixed, but the money is not coming in. And I'm too stingy to dig out my own money.


So here I am, looking forward to this weekend Magic the Gathering 10th Edition prerelease. Another 1 month of vacation to go. I still have time to plan for my Japan trip.


P.S. BTW, after I went back to Malaysia, my family and I went to Redang Island for 3 days 2 nights! However, it was a bit too crowded to my liking, even though we went during the weekdays! Other than that, the sea was clear, the sands was fine, and comfortable. Going again? Nay, maybe some other beaches, hehe!

Vacation

It's vacation time! Too bad I failed to get the summer program to Japan, but that also means that I'll get to spend more time back home :)

Weird things

Going home

I'm going home tomorrow! Gosh, I can't believe my 1 month vacation have already half gone before I'm heading back home.

I'm going back for 1 week. Other than eat and sleep, hopefully I'll get to train in my hometown's dojo. In other words, I'll be bringing my bogu and shinai back to Ipoh >_< I want to wear my kimono!

Just recently I've bought myself a soldering set, and I've made a to do list for it. I'll need to get everything done before semester starts. And talking about new semester... I need to plan for my modules again.

Sea

The sky is clear.

Standing in front of the windows, I enjoyed the view from the 8th floor. The haze has almost gone, revealing the clear blue sky. I saw ships cluttering around the sea, but the horizons drew my attention. I'm always fascinated by how the sea horizons marks the boundary between the deep blue sea and light blue sky.

I enjoy sitting on the beach, staring out at the sea. Yet, I don't like to stay still when I'm enjoying something. I walk around, looking for seashell, playing with the water. I like the sound of wave splashing, I like the smell of the sea. I like sea.

Maybe I should visit Bintan Island.
