New room

I've finally finished shifting my room. The room doesn't seems to be too bad, I can feel the night cool breeze entering my room now. A bigger window would be nice, but that would also means I'll be having even less privacy. For the time being, people from the cars and busses can look into my room through my windows. Huh!!!

Anyway, I had a really busy week last week. I came back to Singapore last Sunday morning, took a short nap and went straight to dance. The day after that I had my first Kendo training ever since the finished of my exam. As I've expected, my performance droped tremendously after I've stopped training for some time. Must resist from taking break from Kendo...

I have four Kendo training on that week, Monday and Thursday training in SRC, Friday joint training with NYP and Waseda High School, and Sunday mock shiai (tourament) with national team. Not to mention I have another Kendo training on Monday right after the mock shiai. That makes 4 Kendo training with 1 day break in between, with 2 of the training wearing half-dried gi.

The mock shiai with national team was exciting! I'm so lucky that I get to join my school team to fight against them, cause my senpai went for his holidays and there was a vacancy left for me~ And I get to fight with Jerry, one of the senpai that I respect most, as he taught me strategies in playing team matches (refer to my last year Youth Kendo Tournament). I doubt he remembered me during the match, but I remember him and I would want to show him how much I've improved. Hmph, don't play play!

However, it turned out the begining of the match was a playful one. I think he was trying to save energy for the next match. The moves that he made was interesting one, and I thought it was cool to mimic his moves and I mimic one of them. Well, things get serious after I get back a men point from him. It put us into draw, which seriously pressurized him. I heard that they'll get 100 hyasuburi for each lost they suffer, or maybe for a draw too. Bwahahaha!

The fight getting into a fast paced that I doubt I've experienced it before. I felt that every reaction was instinct, and I could felt myself breathing in the icy cool air, stinging my lungs. I was gasping for air but there was no time to rest. All I need was to hold on until the match end. There was a moment when I was trying to pinpoint his location, suddenly everything turns white. The blankness lasted very briefly, in a blink of eye everything went back to normal. I've no idea what had happened. All I knew was the whistle was blown and the match was declared, draw. And I manage to get him a hansoku (penalty) as well~

During the next day's training, I can't stop laughing when my sensei was so surprised with me having a draw. The moment before that my sensei was criticizing my jigeiko, so I understood his reaction. LOL, I think I blushed a little when sensei was surprised and said, "but your jigeiko just now was terrible!"

Well, not only Kendo that kept me occupied for the week. I was helping my tea ceremony club during NUS open house too! It started with moving 4 heavy tatami mats to the floor and ended with moving them back to where it was. Not too bad compare to the stuff that I get to do during the event itself! I get to wear a yukata, eat Japanese sweets and drink Japanese tea! I never expect to meet Dax and Shermaine during that day, but they there were preparing for the Japanese food talk & tasting event! That means... More Japanese food for me!!! Paiseh.... Of course I wait until the new prospective student have their fair share of the foods, then only I helped cleaning up the leftover. Hehehe.

Tea ceremony utensils

That pretty sum up what I did last week. I have to finish up my Kimchi bread that I bought from BreadTalk today. See ya!
