Cocktail of Red Bean Soup and Coconut Milk
"Knock knock knock"
I was taking a nap and there she is, handing me a ticket.
"I have to attend my friends birthday party and I don't want to waste this ticket. So I'll give you, okay?"
So I end up going to the Peranakan Culture Workshop held at YIH just now. It was interesting and fun. I always like to hear old times stories like what my grandparents and parents always told me. I like it even more when they told me what they do when they were kids! I can't imagine all the fun they had running around in the rubber estate, jumping into ponds and swim around and catching spiders! Hehe.
Well, in the workshop they talk about some history of Melaka, where Baba & Nyonya came from. And then they showed us some traditional cloths, bead arts, traditional ceremony and traditional food's ingredients. It was long and tedious because the chairs in the function room wasn't as comfortable as the lecture theater one, but the last event was a rewarding one. Presenting... Nyonya snacks!

They are so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!
Luckly, Ankith, Hikari, Eriko, Wing Ying and one of my Kendokai senior was there to company me. Too bad Jasmine can't attend the workshop, but I hope you like the pictuers I sent to you! ありがとうりえちゃん!ー
