MTG: Cold Snap Prerelease
Even though I did not get to compete in East-West Kendo Tournament, I still get the chance to compete in Magic The Gathering lastest expansion set prerelease, Cold Snap!
Actually I've totally forgotten about the prerelease until this afternoon. Luckily there are 3 prerelase session in total, and the last one was held in late afternoon. So I immediately sms-ed my friend and went straight to GameVault after having my lunch.
I was quite nervous when I reached there. It had been 2 years since I last touched MTG, or was it 4 years? And I was surprised when the shop owners recognize me! Anyway, I was a bit early when I reach there, and the 2nd session still haven't finished yet, so I tried to refresh myself with all the MTG rules during a match. I tried to familiar myself with the card mechanisms and card abilities as I did not do much research beforehand.
The match started around 3 pm. My first match was quite nervous, and my opponent even tried to unnerve me, hehe. Not a bad tournament for me, I've won 2 rounds and lost 2 rounds. I've gotten myself a T shirt and 4 booster pack. I've no idea yet what to do with those booster pack cause I didn't plan to continue playing MTG. See how lah... The shop owners told me about the Bishan MTG shop, maybe I'll drop by someday. Hehe.
